Is our Free Edition really worthwhile ?
We have a Free Edition where the user can use our product and use it as long as the company has limited resources to manage and later migrate to the Professional Edition when they grow.
Updated : [The Free Edition allows you to monitor 5 monitors now.]
Your mileage can vary based on how many systems your applications are deployed on. I say this as you need to add the system also for monitoring before you add the application.
Coming back to the question : Is our Free Edition really worthwhile ? …. will leave it for comments in this blog

Free edition would benefit small companies where the no.of apps to manage would be just few and may not be willing to pay, atleast before they find real use in production.
And for such users who anyway not going to use your paid edition, atleast initially, free could really benefit them and on your side you find your product running.
What matters is if it comes to support for free edition? Do you guys respond to support from such users ?

Yes we respond to any query from Free Edition users too, with the same enthusiasm!
They can always mail to the relevant support mail id (say, support @ appmanager com) or use our Forums .
Another very important contribution they make is giving feedback on the product. More users, more ‘critical’ feedback. We even take up features suggested by these users.
Thanks
