Valentines Day

[ Mood: Confused ]
I wonder why all these hotels and gift shops and jewellers and boutiques and restaurants and florists and card shops and holiday resorts and pubs and discothques and mobile phone companies want me to give THEM money so that I can tell MY valentine that I love her.

    Raghu,

You will be surprised by the amount of importance it has here in Singapore. For almost a week, the flower shops have been doing great business and the papers are full of ideas for gifts. They even have a phone helpline (private of course) for ideas for gifts.

Wow! These guys can spend - starting from the junior high students to the old goldies. Jewellery is the hot favourite choice, followed by beauty treatment packages.

It was fun watching all the frenzy around me……and I was happy with the single long stemmed red rose that my husband gave me at midnight when he came back from work Smile

    Hope u had fun time!
    Madhu (U do remeber me, don’t u???)

    Good to hear from you.
V Day - just another man (and woman) made evil on the lines of Sun Signs and beauty pageants Twisted Evil
But still, Id have to hand it to the marketing genius of the people behind these. Making money out of nothing
