					<description>Raju,

In Win 2000, you have an option to specify a 'Shortcut Key'. Right click a shortcut (say, on the desktop) &#62; Properties &#62; Shortcuts tab&#62;Shortcut Key textbox. There you can give a combination of ctrl+alt+'char'.

If you want to create a shortcut to open up Google, then create a shortcut on your desktop that points to IEXPLORE.exe. For the 'target' give it as "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" http://google.com/

That's it. Now a ctrl+alt+G could bring up Google for you.

If you donot want to clutter your desktop with shortcuts, then copy these shortcuts to some subprogram menu under 'Start &#62; Programs'. That would do. Eg: C:\Documents and Settings\gibuk\Start Menu\Programs\Shortcuts
