Zoho Wiki CSS Customization

It has been quite some time since Zoho Wiki supported CSS Customization. This feature allows you to customize the look of your wiki pages. You can define your own styles, change the styling of existing elements or hide elements you don’t need.

Here are some nice elaborate customization of Zoho Wiki.

The above customizations have been done by my colleagues. Let me know if you come across other good customizations of Zoho Wiki.

One thing I would like to see in Zoho Wiki is the ability to edit the CSS online and preview it before updating as in Blogger. Right now it is quite cumbersome to make changes to an already customized CSS. And it is actually very risky to make changes, without any preview, on a live Wiki.

Meanwhile, Zoho Wiki has announced some new features.

I hate the verdana font

How I hate the verdana font !

Verdana font is really nice when it is small. However when the font size increases, it really looks ugly. I rather prefer Arial over Verdana.

Speaking of fonts, I recently saw a nice font named Calibri. It is not an exceptional font though, but it looks good in all font sizes. Infact MS Office 2007 uses Calibri as the default font. The numbers in Excel looks nice too.

I also love the Georgia font, especially the numbers. And Trebuchet MS is yet another font which I like.

For screen reading I prefer Sans Serif fonts (like Arial, Verdana, etc) and for print I prefer Serif fonts (like Times New Roman, Georgia, etc)

Here is a comparison of some of the common fonts and their readability:
