I hate the verdana font

How I hate the verdana font !

Verdana font is really nice when it is small. However when the font size increases, it really looks ugly. I rather prefer Arial over Verdana.

Speaking of fonts, I recently saw a nice font named Calibri. It is not an exceptional font though, but it looks good in all font sizes. Infact MS Office 2007 uses Calibri as the default font. The numbers in Excel looks nice too.

I also love the Georgia font, especially the numbers. And Trebuchet MS is yet another font which I like.

For screen reading I prefer Sans Serif fonts (like Arial, Verdana, etc) and for print I prefer Serif fonts (like Times New Roman, Georgia, etc)

Here is a comparison of some of the common fonts and their readability:

I also noticed that Verdana looks nicer on a Mac compared to a Windows PC.
